Nach halblinks gerichtetes Brustbild.

Offizier im Galarock des 1. Batallion Leibgarde, Potsdam, um 1755.

Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 15.

Blaues Tuch, Silberstickerei, roter Kragen, rotes Futter, gelbe Weste, schwarze Halsbinde.

Originaler geschnitzter und vergoldeter Holzrahmen in der Art des Johan August Nahl, Potsdam,

Mitte 18. Jahrhundert.

Bild: 54 x 44,8 cm (mit Rahmen: 75 x 64 cm).

 

Die Stellung als Kommander der Garde war meist ein Karriereschritt, dem die Verleihung eines eigenen Regiments folgte. Die Offiziere waren besonders eng an den König gebunden und vielfach priviligiert.

Die Fähnriche hatten in der Armee den Rang von Premier-Leutnants, die älteren Leutnants sogar den von Majors.

The position as Commander of the Guard was usually a career step, which was followed by the awarding of a separate regiment. The officers were particularly closely tied to the king and were often privileged.
