Nach halblinks gerichteter Kopf. Büste mit Gehrock und Jabot.

Carrara-Marmor.

Ärmelausschnitt signiert: „Cencetti Roma 1879“.

Höhe: 69 cm (mit rundem, profiliertem Sockel), Breite: 45 cm, Tiefe: 35 cm.

Diese Büste ist Teil einer Wiederholung einer Skulpturengruppe, bestehend aus zwei Büsten. Die Gruppe trägt den Titel „La tentazione“, die Verlockung. Ein junger Herr und eine schöne junge Frau lächeln sich verschmitzt an. Die Gruppe wurde erstmals 1877 auf der Nationalen Kunstausstellung in Neapel präsentiert. Die dortige Skulpturengruppe war aus Terracotta gefertigt. Die gleiche Gruppe wurde 1880 auf der Ausstellung in Turin präsentiert und später im Jahr auf der Weltausstellung in Melbourne.

Signed at the sleeve neckline: „Cencetti Roma 1879“.

Hight: 69 cm (with socket), width: 45 cm, depth: 35 cm.

This bust is part of a repetition of a group of sculptures consisting of two busts. The title of the group is „La tentazione“, the temptation“. A young gentlemen and a beautiful young lady are smiling at each other mischievously. The group was first shown at the national exhibition in Naples in 1877. That group of sculptures was made from terracotta. The same group was shown at the exhibiton in Turin in 1880 and later that year at the universal exhibiton in Melbourne.
